Being a Fine Art Waukesha Newborn Photographer has it’s perks; squishy babies being the best one!
I met the adorabe Vetterkind family at their cozy home in Waukesha, Wisconsin for their lifestyle newborn session with baby Everett. Everett is their second sweet little one and I was so excited to meet him!
It feels like just yesterday that I was at their home photographing them for a family session to celebrate their oldest child, Ella’s, first birthday. And now, I got to meet their new little squish, Everett! It is seriously my favorite when I get to watch families grow and photograph all of their memories over time. They start to become family to me; I have such a special place in my heart for them. It makes my job photographing them much easier too, because I know them so well that it’s easy to capture their true selves and also makes it easier for everyone to relax and have fun!
Let’s just shift gears here for a second; Everett was SUCH a beautiful baby! He was born at Elmbrook Memorial Hospital and was nice and healthy! He was a nice big baby, which I just love because, well… squishy rolls!! Seriously my favorite part of newborn sessions! Gahh! I love them; it momentarily makes me think I should have another baby so I can just photograph all of the baby squish all day. And then I come back to earth and realize my toddler is washing his socks in the dog dish (let me note; also photo worthy).
One of my favorite parts of in home lifestyle newborn sessions is capturing the older sibling with the baby. Some siblings are unsure and want nothing to do with baby, while others are ready to play “mom”. Ella was the sweetest big sister ever! She proudly and confidently held baby Everett, and gave him tons of sweet kisses! I was so impressed, especially because she is not even two years old! I couldn’t believe how gentle and kind she was with her newborn baby brother.
