I absolutely adore working with fun families like this one as a fine art Lake Country Family Photographer!
I met the lovely McNeill Family at an arboretum just a short distance outside of the Lake Country area for their custom family session. This was my first time shooting there, and it was like a photographer’s paradise with all of the spring magnolia trees in bloom! I can’t wait to use this location again in the future. Even though I love doing fall and winter sessions, spring sessions have a special place in my heart. Flowers are blooming, trees put forth new leaves, kids dancing in the rain, and, of course, beautiful photoshoots are taking place. I love being able to incorporate nature into these photos because it adds a little extra flare that makes those photos stand out from the rest.
The McNeill family was so sweet and were far from being shy. Normally it takes a few minutes for families to warm up, but not this crew! They jumped right into the fun! I set them up under a beautiful blossoming tree and told them I was just testing my light… but the very first frame was a keeper with little Cash being held upside down by his dad (see the first image below!)! I had so much fun chasing around little Miss Greenley and baby Cash! Greenley is such a loving big sister and planted lots of kisses on baby Cash’s cheeks. The bond that this family has is very special and radiated throughout the whole session.
