A Community of Photographers | Support, Critique & Growth

Special News

This community of Photographers is my rock!

I have always been a firm believer that anyone who is or becomes great at anything must have a strong support system behind them. This support system must foster growth through compassion, excellence in their craft, and a willingness to learn and grow together. In my eyes, photography is no different.

A short while ago, an organic opportunity came up for me to connect with a group of photographers who also have a passion for newborn and family photography. We created a community of newborn and family photographers looking to grow in our craft. This new community is filled with moms, soon-to-be moms, furr-moms, and someday moms. But we all have one thing in common; we love to take pictures of newborns, babies, families and children. Some members are brand new to photography, while many are seasoned veterans; but everyone has something special that they bring to the group. This community is for loving on one another, support, kind and respectful critique, advice and more!

One of the things I love the most about this group is the amount of inspiration it gives me to see their work. So, after introductions and finding out where everyone is located (in the event that members would like to connect more locally), the sharing began! I am so excited about some of the work that I have seen! I absolutely love the lifestyle or documentary style of family photography that our group encompasses. There is something so real and raw about this style. This makes it such a perfect fit when photographing children and families. You can feel the innocence of a child reaching out to touch the petal of a flower. Or feel the embrace of a mommy hugging her son, or feel the energy of children running through a sprinkler.

I am so excited to continue on with this phenomenal group of momtogs! What an amazing community for photographers to be a part of!Fine art Oconomowoc Family Photographer
