As a Madison Newborn Photographer, lighting is essential to the perfect photo and this was the perfect session to play around with it. And spoiler alert, it turned out amazing. Stay tuned for this sweet family newborn session!
I met this sweet family outdoors for baby Milo’s newborn session. The Wollerman kiddos’ love for their new sibling radiated throughout the whole session. It’s not every day that I get to photograph a newborn session entirely outdoors. But with the sun shining and the flowers blooming, I couldn’t have loved it more!
Learning to shoot film has been one of my favorite challenges. A part of that learning process is being unafraid to pull out my film cameras regardless of the circumstance. Each session, I play with the light I have, watch, and take notes as to how my film scans come back. This outdoor newborn session produced some of my favorite scans I’ve ever gotten back, making it one of my most cherished parts on this journey to becoming a better artist. This session will always hold a special place in my heart because it is the first session I had ever submitted for publication and I was so proud when I received the news that it had been published!
It was an honor photographing the Wollerman Family as they celebrate their newest addition to the family. Looking back on this session reminds me how much I love photographing babies and capturing memories for families to cherish forever.
