my story & a slice of my heart
2 years ago Jesus called my mom home very suddenly and unexpectedly. My mom was my person- she was my best friend, I called her on the phone about a zillion times a day, the one person who truly just got me and loved me unconditionally. Her death completely shattered my heart and I have, in all honesty, felt completely lost without her. 2 days after her death, we found out we were pregnant with our little Valley. Such a blessing, but also so hard to go through a pregnancy and delivery while also grieving so hard. I truly have always wanted to be a mom (I was doll and baby obsessed my whole life) and I believe being a mother is the highest honor I could ever be granted with, but I truly never envisioned myself raising my children without my own mother here.
Every year I run an event in my mom's honor that I call The Motherhood Event. It's for both new and returning clients. The goal of the event is to honor the specialness of motherhood and pamper mommas for one very special day. I've learned quickly through my loss that moms tend to be the one taking the photos (as was the case with my own mom) and so they rarely have those special photos of just them and their children. The only way we have to see our loved ones after they pass is through photographs, so I have created this event to give your babies what I wish I had with my own mother.
At the event you'll come and get pampered and glammed up and then have an intimate session with me, just momma and her littles in the prettiest soft glowy light.
It's an HOUR long experience for each mom and includes:
- use of my client wardrobe for both mom & her children (I have over 185 neutral, timeless dresses and tons of high end children's clothing up to size 8ish)
- a petite professional makeup session with my professional hair and makeup artist
- 2 digital images of your choice are also included (with additional images, prints, albums, etc. available as an optional add on when your see your photos)
- a high end gift box with items from local boutiques and fair trade small businesses
- you are welcome to bring your own momma along with for a generational photo as well

Location: The prestigious, The Carriage House at Lac La Belle
No shopping for expensive outfits you'll only wear once, no returning items that didn't work out, no stressful getting ready the day of. I'll help style you with all pieces that I provide & my makeup artist will make sure you feel beautiful!
The idea is to take all the stressful parts out of it (like picking out wardrobe and doing makeup) and just really focus on capturing those sweet and intimate connections between a mother and her children.
